1994 the First Harvest Festival

When the Wheatland Missouri Settler's Village first started it was called the Pioneer Village, but they changed the name to what it is today! Let's take a trip down memory lane! Unfortunately, there are a lot of gaps in the history! We will have to contact the Index to get older news articles on the years that are missing!

2009 - Bathrooms going in! (16th Annual Harvest Festival)

There was a lot of information missing between 2002 and 2009! We hope to find more information and fill this in eventually!

2017 - 24th Annual Harvest Festival

Unfortunately for the community the Harvest Festival was almost cancelled this year! It would have been almost impossible to start this up again once you shut down a festival!

2019 - Article about a Fundraiser for Harvest Festival (26th Annual)

Discover our collection of creative work and visual projects. Each piece showcases our attention to detail and commitment to delivering results that exceed expectations.

2020 - 27th Annual Harvest Festival & Other News

This was the first year of COVID! It may also be the first year of the St. Patrick's Day - Potato Bake Fundraiser. This fundraiser started at the McCarthy Senior Center but has since been moved to the Central Hickory Fire Rescue facility in Wheatland. This also may be the first year that the Lucas 50/50 Raffle started! Due to the gaps in the paperwork, we hope to continue searching for articles at the Index and filling in more information at a later date!

2022 - 28th Harvest Festival & Other News

There is no information available for 2021. The event/events may have been canceled due to COVID!

2023 - 29th Annual Harvest Festival & Other News

This is another year that needs to be filled in! The only article was about the vandalism that took place in the village!

2024 - 30th Annual Harvest Festival & Other News

Below is a copy of an article in Ozarks Roots, by Julia Turner-Crawford (June 28th, 2024). "Before its Gone".

Christmas

The first few pictures below are of the Central Hickory Fire Rescue putting our lights up on the cabins! They do this every year for us and then take them back down the first week of January. There are a few pictures of the parade this year also!

2025 - 31st Annual Harvest Festival & Other News

As of August 2024, the village was close to the end again! With the election of a new board (which was critical) and plans for the future, we are trying to bring the village back to its former glory! Normal yearly fundraisers & Informational Booths where: St. Patrick's Day - Potato Bake, Business Expo (information booth), Rendezvous (information booth), Lucas 50/50, and Harvest Festival. This year for the Halloween Trunk & Treat Event and Christmas Event, we added food service to counter act all the prize money going out! We have also added the spring and fall 100-Mile Garage Sale Events, in which we have our own garage sale, but also open to vendors to set up and sell! Also added the Annual Car Show, and Monthly Cruise-Ins to add to our fundraising capabilities! We held a Poker Run Event this year but may not do this event again! A big thank you to Turn 1 Bar & Grill for the Poker Tournament/Fundraiser they did for the village this year!

Join us in bringing the village back to Life!

St. Patrick's Day - 2025

Easter - 2025

Unfortunately, we were rained out this year!

1st Cruise-In, May 1st, 2025

This is the first cruise-in and it was a huge success for the 1st one! Lori Locke and Clint Dinkins were added as live music to later events (weather & health permitting). If they aren't able to perform, we have pre-recorded music playing and food service out of the cookshack!

2nd Cruise-In, June 5th, 2025

Spring 100-Mile Garage Sale - June 6th, 2025

This is the first 100-Mile Garage Sale Event we participated in for the Spring. We were rained out, but one brave vendor (Aimless Shopping) stayed with us all weekend. We put them in the Ice Cream shop to stay dry, and that's how we found out it was leaking really bad!

Poker Tournament - June 6th, 2025

Attached is the article about our Poker Tournament! It fell on the same weekend as the 100-Mile Garage Sale! The article mislabels the event as a Poker Run, when in fact it was a Tournament, and we served food at Turn 1 Bar & Grill for the other part of this fundraiser!

Inaugural Car Show - June 14th, 2025

Wonderful turn out for the first year!

Lucas 50/50 - June 14th, 2025

This was a long day! After working the car show all day, we had to run up to Lucas Oil Speedway for our 50/50 drawing! It just happened to be the day they drew us for our turn at the Raffle!

3rd Cruise-In, July 3rd, 2025

Wheatland Baptist Church joined our Cruise-In and started handing out water and popsicles!

Poker Run - July 12, 2025

Inaugural Poker Run, not sure if we're going to try this again! A lot of work for very little return.

4th Cruise-In, August 7th, 2025

Fall 100-Mile Garage Sale - August 28th - 30th, 2025

The following pictures are of different vendors that set up for the fall Garage Sale!

5th Cruise-In, September 4th, 2025

31st Annual Harvest Festival, September 19 -21, 2025

All of the hard work started paying off for the year! The Harvest Festival really grew this year! One of our new partners is the Chickamauga Cherokee of MO & AR!

6th Cruise-In, October 2nd, 2025

Christmas & Light Up the Lake

The next pictures are of our float at Light Up the Lake, and Central Hickory Fire Rescue putting up our lights and then taking them down later. Our Christmas Event was cancelled due to extremely cold temperatures this year!
