Review of projects being completed at the village! - December + January
The pictures below show the progress on work projects at the village! On December 13th, 2024, Beyer's Lawn Services put the roof on the 1860 Corn Crib/Ice Cream Shack. Now that this building has a new roof it is going to be set up as the concession stand/Ice Cream Shack for the monthly Cruise-Ins! It was used in the past as an Ice Cream Shack for Ice Cream Socials!
The 1848 Stable has been cleaned out! Thank you to Dennis & Tena Dudley, along with Joseph Rempfer for the clean out. Over the years it has been used to dump old roofing material and wood with nails in it! It has been cleaned out and is safe again! We have had children playing in it. At a later date we will add a slat door with a Z Brace to keep people out of the building unless it's opened for an event.
Started cleaning out the gardens and will mulch the flower gardens, but plan on adding pea gravel to the old implement area next to the 1848 Stable!
Door replacements have been started also! Thank you to Douglas Pecor for this!
February Work Project - 2026
Have one new door done, with a second ready to go! Also, getting ready to put the signs up on the buildings for our Platinum Sponsorships! Getting some of the cabins ready to open for upcoming events. Thank you to Melissa and Terry Warren for cleaning out the Ice Cream Shack/1860 Corn Crib and starting on the clean-up in the Two-Story Cabin/Carbin Cabin.
March 7th Work Project 2026
We have the larger gardens cleaned out and ready for mulch. Will finish the gardens behind the cabins and mulch them also. Once this is done, we plan on fixing the farm implement area and add pea gravel to clean that up! Thank you to our volunteers Mike & Debbie Taylor, Becky Miller, Sandra Pecor, and Tena Dudley & her grandchildren Alourah, Zerra, and Joe Rempfer Jr!

Cleaning up the last of the gardens and getting them ready for mulch! Plus, we got the bathrooms and cookshack cleaned out and ready for our Easter Event, and the 2nd door put up!
